Emphasis Project

1. My primary emphasis is the bottom pink circles. My secondary emphasis is the blue flower in the top left corner. Finally my tertiary emphasis is the small pink flower in the top right corner.

2. I used the rules of emphasis to establish my primary color by using size. I made the pink circles of my primary object the biggest out of all the shapes I used. I used the emphasis of color for my secondary object by making the flower two different shades of blue that provide a colorful and eye-catching contrast, but do not overpower the primary color. For my tertiary object I used the emphasis of size again. I made the flower the smallest on the page so that it would less aparent than everything else, but I included a playful yellow that still keeps it noticable.

3. The best part of my artwork on this project is my blending. I have many different colors in this piece, but I think I do a good job blending all of them in so they flow nicely together.

4. The thing I like least on my project is that although I have many pretty colors that flow nicely together, it is all very soft. I feel that if i had more bold colors it would make the piece more interesting. I think if i added brighter colors the piece would look better but I am still unsure of how to do this.

5. My next step in my project is to add bolder colors and not blend them as much so the artwork isn't as soft. I think I will add more vibrant yellows and oranges to the outsides, to form a solid background color mix. After I apply those colors I will still blend them so it doesn't look sloppy, but the different color contrast that they possess will make the whole piece more eletrifying.

6. I am using blending my making al lmy colors flow together and subtly flow together. I am using variety by including different shapes and many different colors and details to every little detail.
